Dr. Nelson Hui has always had a passion for science and art. While attending undergraduate school at Washington University in St. Louis, he discovered that dentistry combines both of these passions perfectly. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Finance, Dr. Hui was offered the prestigious Dean’s Scholarship at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Hui obtained a wide range of clinical experiences, from reconstructing smiles with cosmetic veneers at his startup dental practice in Allen, Texas to re-stablishing health by providing dental services to the underserved pediatric population. Upon realizing how much he loves working with children and playing an active role in shaping their dental experiences, he decided to pursue a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital after being in practice for nine years. While in pediatric dental residency, Dr. Hui was selected by his attendings to be the Lead Resident and subsequently the Chief Resident.
When Dr. Hui isn’t thinking about dentistry, he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, and serving in church. He is also passionate about various musical hobbies, including listening to and composing music, singing, and playing the piano.
